Swiss Psychology Student Association

Connecting, empowering and representing psychology students across every Swiss university and university of applied sciences.

About Us

Who we are and what we do

We are a student organization that connects psychology students across Switzerland.
Our mission is to build a strong, student-led network that works for the public good.

We encourage curiosity, support personal growth, and help turn fresh ideas into real projects.
Even though we’re always growing and changing, our main activities stay the same:

Networking

We connect students from all over Switzerland – and even beyond. Through events or by joining a project, you’ll meet motivated students from other universities and professionals from science, business, and non-profits. You’ll exchange ideas, share experiences, and maybe even start something new together.

If you want to build a strong network that opens doors, becoming a member is for you!

Events

Our events bring together students from different universities, professionals from the public and private sectors, and people from NGOs. We organize a yearly psychology conference and an intensive coaching bootcamp that trains psychology students to become coaches. These events are the heart of our organization. They create moments that inspire, connect, and bring people together.

We’d love to see you at one of them!

Impact

We want psychology students to have a voice. As a national organization, we support better working conditions for future psychologists: fair pay, strong public health roles, and top-quality education. We also encourage our members to speak up about current issues and use our platform to spread knowledge and raise awareness.

Together, we can make a difference.

Organization

How things get done

As a dynamic student organization, people are constantly joining and moving on. To stay organized and keep up with this fast pace, we work with a two-layer structure: a strategic advisory board and project-based working groups. The board focuses on long-term planning and supports the overall direction of the organization, while the working groups turn ideas into action. Many members are active in both, which helps ensure good communication and shared vision.

We stay in touch through monthly Zoom calls and meet in person at events, our yearly general meeting, or team-building weekends. This structure keeps us flexible, connected, and able to grow together.

Strategic Advisory Board

As a member of the Strategic Advisory Board, your role is to keep an overview of the entire organization. You help coordinate resources, support the working groups, and find suitable replacements for people leaving the orgnization. Finding new partners and sponsors is also part of the job, so that our projects have the support they need to grow and succeed.

Working Groups

As a member of a working group, you help bring a project to life. This could be organizing our yearly psychology congress, building a social media presence, or developing your own idea with the support of the organization. We recommend that new members start in a working group to get a first impression of how we work and to actively contribute from the beginning.
